The 12th ranked Arete Prep Boys Varsity team finds themselves in the 1A Elite Eight for the second year in a row, after knocking off #5 Joseph City on Saturday night. Junior Brandon Fish poured in 28 points, including 6 of the Chargers 14 three pointers. Fish came up clutch in the second half, hitting big threes and free throws to seal the victory. Arete advances to play #2 Rock Point on Thursday 2/20 at 6pm. The game will be played at Yavapai College in Prescott (1100 E. Sheldon St. Prescott 86301.) With a win on Thursday, they would advance to the State Final Four, back in Prescott, on Friday. The time for that game is TBD.

AZ Preps Boys Basketball 1A Bracket 

The Varsity Womens season concluded on Friday, as the 11th seeded Chargers fell to #6 Babquivari 49-30'in the first round of state playoffs. The loss does not overshadow the best season in program history for the girls. They finished 17-5 overall, setting the new mark for wins in a season. Congratulations to our seniors, Hannah Howell and Daniela Iniguez and the entire team on an outstanding season!
