Upcoming Library Book Sales
old_hard_cover_books.jpg
Due to the temporary library closure, unfortunately the Friends of the Library will not host their upcoming Spring Book Sale, which was originally scheduled for May 1 and 2. However, the Fall Book Sale will be held this year, so mark your calendars for October 2 and 3 ! We look forward to gathering together again over the mutual love of books.
Free WiFi Available
Our library has free WiFi available from outside! You can either pull up to the back parking lot and park nearest to the back windows, or you can walk up to the front of the building and sit near the front benches, then search for "Upper Level" internet access and connect for free. We have adjusted the placement of our modems inside to offer a stronger outdoor connection for anyone who needs internet access during this time. If you have any questions, email us at info@tippcitylibrary.org .
Family BINGO At-Home
You do not need to own a complete BINGO set to play this ongoing game with your family. Just print off up to five different BINGO cards from the Children's tab on our website, and when a square is completed, color in that square. Once five squares are colored in a row going up, down, across or diagonal, you win a prize! Some prize ideas are a food treat of your choice, TV show of your choice for one hour, extra screen time, your choice of a family activity, or a quarter or sticker for each completed square. Get into the competitive spirit while having fun with your family!
Special Access to Lynda.com
According to American Library Association (ALA) News, the online learning website LinkedIn Learning, formerly Lynda.com, is now offering special access to library patrons. A library cardholder can now access Lynda.com without having to create a LinkedIn profile or provide their email address. Patrons can access endless learning opportunities using their library card and pin number. Read the full ALA News article here regarding this change in LinkedIn Learning's terms of service.
