Happy Thursday! We have a busy next couple of days. Tonight, our 3rd and 4th grade Choir will be performing at 6:30 in the gym. It will definitely be a fantastic concert that you will not want to miss.
Then, we will have our 2nd annual Late Night Leopards campout tomorrow night. I can guarantee that fun will be had by all! If you will be attending the campout, please be on the lookout for an additional email with more details and be sure to look in your child's folder today campout information.

This year, LES will honor Earth Day on April 22nd. The Earth Day Network has chosen "Protect Our Species" as this year's theme. We celebrate this day at school in hopes that the wisdom we impart on our students will have a ripple effect for generations to come. Summer Enrichment Camp
Escape to a whole other world as we join some of our favorite characters, Ron, Hermione, and Harry as they go about life at Lovejoy's version of Hogwarts! Wizarding World is a Summer Enrichment Camp for incoming 4th - 7th graders. This camp will be held at Sloan Creek July 8th - 12th from 9:00am - 12:00pm. Please

STAAR Dates - Mark your Calendar
Our 3rd and 4th graders will be taking the STAAR Math test on Monday May 13th and the STAAR Reading test on Tuesday, May 14th. On these dates, we are asking all parents to help us by having your child keep all electronics, including cell phones, fitbits, or apple watches, at home. Please also refrain from scheduling doctor or dentist appointments on these dates. Thank you in advance for your help and support.
Bike Rodeo
Lovejoy Elementary will be having a "Bike Rodeo" on Thursday, April 18th. The schedule for the morning is:
Kinder - 8:40 - 9:10
1st Grade - 9:15 - 9:45
2nd Grade - 9:45 - 10:15
3rd Grade - 10:15 - 10:45
4th Grade - 10:45 - 11:15

Leopard Live
Please join us for Leopard Live on Thursday, April 18th at 2:00pm in the gym. This is a great time to recognize students who show Leopard Pride. We hope to see you there!
School Holiday
Lovejoy Elementary will be closed for a School Holiday (Bad Weather Makeup Day) on Friday, April 19th. We hope you enjoy your long weekend and will see you back here on Monday, April 22nd.
Box Tops
This is our last chance to turn in your Box Tops for this school year. Each Box Top gives our school 10 cents...every Box Top helps! The deadline is May 17th. The grade level with the most Box Tops will get a fun end of the year reward.

Lovejoy Summer Musical Theatre Camps: July 9-20
We are excited to announce our 2019 musical: Seussical KIDS!
Acting, choreography, lighting, costuming, set building, and painting are just some of the fun activities taking place in Lovejoy's Summer Musical Theatre Camps: Musical Theatre, Technical Theatre, and Intern Camp.
Students will work together to produce and perform Seussical KIDS. Students who attend will develop confidence, sharpen their musical and theatrical skills, and create wonderful memories along the way. Directed by Jessica Brewster, LHS Head Theatre Director, and musically directed by Anne Tracy, LHS Puster Elementary Music Specialist, this show is sure to be an unforgettable experience.
