World Refugee Day: Heal. Learn. Shine.
World Refugee Day is June 20, 2021. This year's theme encourages us to honor the efforts and accomplishments of refugees who have been forced to leave their homes to escape conflict or persecution. This international day gives us the opportunity to build empathy and understanding, and to reach out with a welcoming hand. Would you like ideas about how to welcome refugees? Enterprising Women
NEAAO is partnering with CEI Women's Business Center to offer women a series of four workshops about starting a business--in Arabic. Twelve participants have been learning to create business plans, secure financial resources, meet legal requirements and market their ideas and products. Participants have a wide range of interests, including child care, salon, catering, art and providing medical transportation. The two things all of these women share are creativity and motivation!

Mobile Vaccination
NEAAO's Together Home is Here RV adapts according to community need. Right now, it has become a mobile vaccination unit, making it possible for over 100 people to get their Covid-19 vaccines. The RV has been from Augusta to Arundel, partnering with Northern Light Home Care and Hospice to ensure that all community members, especially our New Mainers, have access to vaccines. We offer special thanks to IDEXX Laboratories for welcoming our vaccine team at 6:00 am!
NEAAO relies on generous donations from the community to help us further our mission to bridge the culture gap for a healthier, better integrated community. All donations are fully tax-deductible.
