Collective bargaining between the federal Treasury Board and National Police Federation (NPF), the union representing the RCMP, was expected to begin in March 2020. Both parties have since agreed to temporarily postpone negotiations to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Local governments are advised to budget for the ancipated increase in costs. Read more
