This month we are focusing on the importance of receiving love, as there are reminders everywhere. Love is the one thing a child in foster care needs most.

The Importance of Love
Foster care is not romantic, let us not forget that it’s steeped in brokenness and loss. Maybe that’s why CASA is here – to let our hearts break so little hearts can heal. CASA volunteers stand up and speak out for children in foster care. Contact us today, because childhood won't wait.
We acknowledge young people in foster care may not have an easy path, but with support from a kind adult, they will be able to overcome the barriers they may face. Even if you can’t see the healing, you must trust it’s happening. Contact us today to find out how you can help a child.
When you woke up this morning in your own home, there were approximately 60,000 kids across California who did not. They are in need of support that only a permanent adult can provide. Learn how you can make a lasting difference in a child’s life.
Some children speak through their behavior. Loud and scary; an outpouring of pain and fear. A language that few know. It takes one caring adult to show a child they are worthy of love. If you’ve got compassion to spare, you have something very valuable to give.
Black History Month
Children in foster care have much deeper wounds and much greater walls than your average kid. The consequences of failure can be devastating. We all have the responsibility to let our youth know, they are not just in this world, but that they understand how they belong to this world. This #BlackHistoryMonth, let’s remind youth in care that they come from a rich culture of a beautiful, gifted and resilient people.
Valentine's Day
Happy Valentine's Day! Please pass this #Sweethearts candy to someone you care about, and who would make an excellent volunteer. The best way to show your compassion for others is by volunteering! Serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) has an important role in assessing a child's needs, finding comprehensive services, and advocating on a child's behalf in court.
