Become a Champion for the New DPS Employee Space!
As we shared at the end of last school year, DPS will be transitioning from Infor/Lawson/GHR/Learning Space to a new Employee Space -- hosted by the cloud-based Oracle solution -- over the next two years. The new Employee Space will now house HR and Finance transactions for employees and managers all in one place! Funding for this project was approved by Denver voters in November 2020, and the Board of Education approved the shift in December 2020 in order to modernize these important services and processes for Team DPS.
This shift -- led by the At Your Service (AYS) Project Team within HR, Finance, and DoTS -- is focused on putting people at the center of HR and finance services while optimizing operational and technical functions. The first phase of go-live is currently planned to take place in winter 2021.
While we prepare to launch these new features, we’re looking for Employee Space Champions to support each team through the transition! As an Employee Space Champion, you’ll support your team’s shift to the new Employee Space by gaining early exposure to the platform, providing feedback on training materials and resources, directing colleagues to available resources, and working toward solutions as part of a collaborative effort.
Learn more and sign up by Aug. 31, and you’ll be entered to win a prize!

Join Upcoming Webinar to Support Students’ Transition Back To School
The start of a new school year brings change for children with different routines, a new group of teachers and peers, and academic expectations. Dr. Jenna Glover from Children's Hospital Colorado will join us for a webinar at noon on Sept. 1 to discuss how COVID-19 has impacted kids’ mental health.
Dr. Glover will help attendees explore ways to emotionally support kids as they transition to the new school year and identify how to support children with connecting in a social setting. This webinar will also provide strategies that help adults and youth cope with anxiety around wearing masks, COVID-19, and returning to a school setting amid the pandemic. DPS Employee Wellness Program
This year, DPS is one of two employers in Colorado to win an Aetna Workplace Well-Being Award! As an employer with a strong commitment to improving the health of our employees, we feature a comprehensive wellness strategy that our employees are passionate
about. Our Employee Wellness Program focuses on screening activities, preventive interventions, and health promotion activities.
Our Wellness Program was honored based upon our performance in the following areas:
- Over 100 DPS worksites with a dedicated Wellness Champion.
- Providing virtual wellness programming to employees during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Offering programming for physical wellness including the Walktober Step Challenge, which 1,423 participants across 247 teams participated in.
Want to join the award-winning wellness movement at DPS? Apply for an Employee Wellness Champion position at your school or central-support building for the 2021-22 school year! Employee Wellness Champions are ambassadors for the Employee Wellness Department who promote wellness initiatives to staff, design and implement site-specific wellness programs, and inspire their team members to lead healthy lifestyles. They receive a stipend up to $600, in addition to other funding for site-specific wellness initiatives. If you work at a school, submit your application here; and if you are not school-based, submit your application here by Sept. 9.
