Azita Aghravi, an Eastern Consolidated principal since 1998, has been a highly successful commercial sales broker for over 20 years. Over the past twelve years she has closed over $1.5 billion of sales of both commercial and residential properties. Ms. Aghravi's particular areas of concentration are elevatored apartment buildings, vacant buildings for hotel or residential development, walk-ups with a strong retail component, office buildings and commercial condominiums. She is a member of The Real Estate Board of New York.

Northern California

Iranian-American tech leader, Parto Aram is the founder and CEO of Inspire-Tech, a Davis not-for-profit organization focused on gender equity in technology. Inspire-Tech has been an incredible gift to young women wanting to delve into the world of STEM. She is also a member of the Society of Women Engineers, a Board Member of National Girls Collaborative and a Board member of American Association of University Women (AAUW) Davis. Prior to founding Inspire-Tech, Parto was in product marketing for Intel Corporation.

   Nili Moghaddam
Southern California

Nili T. Moghaddam is Counsel at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. Her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and white collar defense. Ms. Nili T. Moghaddam started her career as a law clerk in the Southern District of New York and then as an associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. Most recently, before joining Skadden, Ms. Moghaddam was an Assistant United States Attorney in Los Angeles, California where she prosecuted financial, national security and violent crimes.

Fariba Mahjoor left Iran to pursue her education in the United States. She earned a bachelor's degree in Design from UCLA and a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine. She experienced the effects of ignorance and injustice first hand when her father was imprisoned for six years and kept from his family an additional six solely because of his religious beliefs. In response, Fariba has engaged in philanthropic work to foster unity and peace through education. She has served on the Board of Full Circle Learning for over 10 years. This educational model builds altruistic identities and develops a generation of peacemakers, imbued with virtues and free of prejudice. She also serves on the Advisory Board of the University of Maryland Baha'i Chair for World Peace, a program that aims to develop a sound scientific basis for knowledge and strategies that advance world peace. Fariba dedicates significant efforts to local community development initiatives for children, youth, and adults. Together with her husband, they support numerous causes internationally.

IAWF Scholarship Opportunities


The IAWF scholarships are to help students achieve their goals by providing them financial assistance based on their needs. Scholarships are available to current IAWF Mentorship  to Internship  Program participants. However, only a limited number of individuals will be selected to receive the scholarship. Scholarships are meant to assist the students with tuition, textbooks, and other course materials. Qualifying criteria include academic achievement, community service, and financial need.
