Chamber News...

Chamber offers connections to timely information
To Our Valued Members,

We all continue to be thrust into a world that is changing by the hour. Your Chamber has no greater priority than sharing information with you and in other ways to help you navigate these challenging times. To that end, we have created a page on our website to share Coronavirus-related information that may be helpful to you, at https://www.camdenrockland.com/news/coronavirus

This page will be continually updated with information you may need to help you during these times, including financial and other resources to help you and your employees weather the storm. The site also includes information on businesses operating under altered business models, and those that are closing temporarily.

Please know that your Chamber board and staff are working diligently to provide you with up to the minute support and information. During this week, we have continually brainstormed with local Chambers across the state and the Maine State Chamber to share ideas and resources. We have also been in contact with state agencies such as the Maine Department of Economic & Community Development, the Maine Department of Labor, and with our legislative and congressional delegations. We’re working hard to keep you informed.

In closing, a reminder that our Chamber is not only a board of directors, or a staff team, or an office. Our Chamber is YOU - an association of close to 800 businesses and non-profit organizations throughout Knox County and bordering communities. There is no one person that has all the good ideas or who can wave a magic wand and make this all better. However, I am very confident that all of us TOGETHER as a Chamber have the collective knowledge, skills, and spirit to navigate these trying times. If you have an idea of something we could do to be helpful, or information that would be good to share with our members that we have not yet shared, please reach out! You may have heard me say before that joining the Chamber is like joining a gym – you get the most out of it when you show up and use the equipment. Let us know what equipment you need, and lean on us during these trying times. We’re here for you!

Best wishes,

Tom Peaco
