Dear Families,
"Do you realize what I have done for you?" John 13:14 Next week begins Holy Week. During the Triduum ahead, let this single question of Jesus be sufficient for our silence, our prayer, our priorities, and our own pouring out of love. Together in these holy days, may we be moved by the Paschal Mystery to become, in all ways, merciful like our God.
Please join us on Holy Thursday at 9:45 in church where our 8
th
graders, under the guidance of Mr. Newman, will be performing the Living Stations. Just a reminder, school will be dismissed at 11:00 that day.
We have a limited amount of financial assistance for tuition available from the parish. The intent of our financial assistance is to help dedicated school families over the rough spots; it is not intended as long term financial aid. The selection process takes into account various factors that affect a family's available funds, such as annual income, number of children in private schools, dependents other than children, etc.
Other requirements include:
· Families applying for aid must have been contributing parishioners for at least 1 year prior to receiving aid.
· Generous time/talent support of parish, school and classroom activities and committees is expected.
· Aid for K3 is not available.
· An application and recent tax return are required.
We have contracted with Facts Tuition Management Co. to provide us with a fair, impartial and consistent analysis of each financial aid application. Applications must be submitted by May 1st of each year. This is the only way to be considered for tuition assistance from the parish. Please see our website for details. Please contact Cheryl Peters, our Director of Finance, if you have any questions or comments at 262-782-4575 or
cpeters@stmaryeg.org
Did you know that we have an occupational therapist and a pediatric speech language pathologist SMV families can contract with (payments are made directly to them) and get services here at St. Mary's? The occupational therapist is Patty Bogart. She can be reached at Patricia.Bogart@sbcglobal.net, or 414-587-7320. The speech language pathologist is Amy Reno an can be reached at 414-303-5226 or speechtails@gmail.com

Message from the SMV library:
Every spring we encourage all children to make sure they have a library card from their local public library. This will enable them to enjoy summer reading when they do not have access to our school library. Children's Book Week is April 29-May 3. All children can receive a special prize by showing their library card to Miss Benson beginning that week and continuing to the end of the school year. Now is the time to get a library card if you don't already have one!
School Yearbooks
Every student who ordered photos from Mortenson in the fall will receive a yearbook. If you did not order any photos and would like a yearbook there are order forms in the office.
Makerspace Items Needed
Please send in duct tape, Clorox wipes, jars and containers, feathers, craft sticks, Bendaroos, pipe cleaners, sequins, q-tips, egg cartons, and any other craft supplies. Thank you!!

Grandparents/Grandfriend Day
Reminder to please turn in your grandparents'/grandfriends' forms by the end of the this week. It is important we have an accurate count of who will be coming. Going home in this week, will be the invitation your children will give to their special person(s) which will include the details of the morning.
Home & School Volunteers
Many thanks to Kate Murphy and Danielle Mathai for organizing the Daddy Daughter Dance. It was a great night for our girls! Thank you also to Kelly Krause for her work on the Lincoln Drive. We appreciate their work and the work of the other volunteers assisting them.
Please consider helping out at the next Culver's Dine Out event on May 21st. We will need adults to help from 5-8pm (junior high students also welcome to finish up their volunteer hours with a parent).
Please also be on the look-out for volunteer sign-ups for Field Day and Teacher Appreciation Week (Week of May 6th).
Thank you all for your continued support!

The weather cooperated and it was an awesome SMV Sunday this past Sunday!
Many thanks to Kelly Krause and her team of volunteers for organizing another successful Lincoln Drive. So many parents and parishioners came out to test drive a Lincoln vehicle in support of our school. We even had a SMV celebrity sighting!
The parish and school children also managed to have a great playgroup morning- fun outside (finally!) that even included an egg hunt! The coffee, cookies, donuts, fun and fellowship made for a great start of the day and week ahead. Thank you to all that planned this great morning!
And with that you will find a few things that are Positively SMV!
