On the evening of November 7, more than 300 local leaders, including QCH staff, packed into Our Lady of Lourdes in Queens Village to
formally launch Queens Power
, the borough's biggest and most diverse organization of churches, mosques, schools, health care centers, labor unions and non-profits. At the meeting, delegate leaders unanimously voted to focus upcoming advocacy efforts on affordable housing, excessive ticketing of homeowners, unreliable bus service and dangerous streets throughout the borough.
