Port of Long Beach Economic Impact Study
For the Port of Long Beach, CA, EDR Group prepared an economic impact assessment of the full range of port activities, including a long-range forecast of trade and inland freight flow. EDR Group found that one in five jobs in the City of Long Beach depended on the Port, and that nationally, goods moved through the Port of Long Beach supports over 2.6 million American jobs and contributes over $206 billion to US GDP annually. Economic Impacts of the Columbus Regional Airport Authority
For the  Columbus Regional Airport Authority  (CRAA), EDR Group led a study that examined how CRAA serves as a driver of the economies in the Columbus Region and the state of Ohio. EDR Group analyzed contributions the regional and state economies of the three CRAA-owned airports (John Glenn Columbus International, Rickenbacker International and Bolton Field), Foreign Trade Zone 138, and additional clusters of business activity that are reliant on the airports.   Read More

  • Las Vegas Mobility Plan: For the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada, EDR Group is part of a new effort to identify and evaluate transit and other multimodal mobility strategies. The study will consider traditional transit improvements as well as broader strategies such as first-and-last mile connections provided through ride-, bike-, or scooter share. 

  • Quantitative & Qualitative Methods for Capturing the Impacts & Value of NCHRP Research: EDR Group is on a team developing tools and methods for the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) to use to assess and convey the outcomes and value of research products to national, state, regional, and local stakeholders.

  • Missouri Urban-Rural Funding: For the Missouri Department of Transportation, EDR Group launched a study of household travel patterns and vehicle ownership across Missouri to understand how a proposed mileage-based registration fee would affect the equity of transportation funding contributions across the state.

  • Late Shift Mobility: For the American Public Transportation Association, EDR Group is analyzing the mobility challenges faced by late-shift workers and the role of public transit in serving these workers. We are evaluating the economic impacts of late-night transit service on both employees and employers, including special analysis of impacts on low-wage workers.
