GREEN Talks 2020

Webinar: Cold Water Bypass and Crossover
Thursday, 2/20 at 1:00 pm

Join the California Housing Partnership for our first GREEN Talk of the year, "Cold Water Bypass and Crossover: What it is and what should we do about it?"

Cold water bypass is a severe issue in older affordable housing properties with central domestic hot water systems. Residents wait longer for hot water  leading to dissatisfaction and water waste, and property owners face higher utility bills and operating expenses. Come learn more about the issue, its impacts, and potential solutions during our webinar taking place on  Thursday, February 20th at 1:00 pm.

We will have two panelists who will share their knowledge and expertise on the issue:
  • Jack Aitchison, Association of Energy Affordability
  • Caitlin Rood, Mercy Housing

Agenda:
  1. Introduction: What it is and what are its impacts?
  2. Identifying the issue
  3. Case study
  4. Potential fixes and scenarios
  5. Q&A
