Katelyn Haydett, MS, DVM Candidate, Michigan State University was awarded the Sault T. Wilson, Jr ., Internship. Katelyn is the curriculum author and presenter for the Invest in your Health topic: Prevention of Zoonosis.

This USDA scholarship/internship provides paid work experience, tuition assistance, and is eligible to conversion as a USDA APHIS veterinarian upon graduation, going on to serve under represented agricultural areas. Through this program Katelyn will be able to gain experience with Federal regulatory veterinarians and partake in field work that is focused on herd health, disease surveillance, and data collection.
