From Ken Klein
Dear Shir Chadash Community,

By now you will have received Rabbi Silver’s message that she has decided to step down from her position as our spiritual leader at the end of her contract on June 30, 2022. Personally, I want to express my sincere appreciation to Rabbi Silver for her hard work, dedication and outstanding contributions to Shir Chadash as our Rabbi. During the past 15 months, she has shepherded the community through a stressful, unprecedented pandemic, staying connected with congregants, without missing a beat. Rabbi Silver is an exceptionally gifted teacher, writer and facilitator whose various classes and programs are informative, stimulating and innovative. For those in need of pastoral care, she is a kind and compassionate presence. Rabbi Silver has represented Shir Chadash well in the local, national and international Jewish community.

Rabbi Silver cares deeply about Shir Chadash and has served this community with distinction for five years. As we emerge from the grips of COVID-19, gradually re-open and approach the High Holidays, Rabbi Silver and I are committed to continue working together for our community in the coming year. Much work needs to be done and, with your support, we look forward to doing so on behalf of Shir Chadash, positioning us for the future. In the spirit of Rabbi Silver’s message, let’s make the year ahead a great one for Shir Chadash.
