Board Member resigns
Hot Springs Village Board Chair Diana Podawiltz, announced today the resignation of Chuck Alvord, newly appointed Board member, effective immediately.

Diana observed that until someone actually joins the Board, it is difficult to comprehend the strong sense of teamwork as well as considerable time commitment that is required.

Said Alvord in his email to the Board of Directors, "Please be advised that effective immediately I am resigning from the HSV Board of Directors. A lot has been accomplished in the few weeks I have been on the Board and I support the Board's major goals. We differ on how to go about accomplishing those goals and, as an appointed Board Member, I do not feel it is my place to be an obstacle in the way of duly elected Board Members."

Accepting Alvord's resignation, Chair Podawiltz acknowledged Alvord's time and service and observed, "I'm sorry to see you [Alvord] leave as much work remains. It's my hope that you will continue to remain involved in the activities of the HSVPOA."

No time has currently been established for the appointment of a new Board member to fill Alvord's seat.
