LCUL Submits Comment Letter to NCUA Re: Supervisory Committee Audits and Verifications
NCUAIn February, the NCUA Board approved a proposed rule amending the supervisory committee audit regulation for federally insured credit unions, and issued a notice of further comment.

We believe that this proposal is a step in the right direction and will, hopefully generate more analysis within the agency for ways NCUA can make the audit process more reasonable for credit unions without sacrificing safety and soundness in any way. However, we do have a concern about the potential for unintended consequences that could result from including in the proposed Appendix A the ability of the Supervisory Committee to question the pay of staff or board members.

The award was presented by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Marketing & Business Development Council, a national network comprised of over 1,300 credit union marketing and business development professionals. "Receiving this award further highlights the dedication they have for our movement and their members."

Award winners were recognized at the council's 26th annual conference held March 20-23 in Las Vegas.
