Gilbert Bonafe of Higher Edge will be here to provide an overview
for students and parents who are new to the college experience.

Every Monday through Thursday

English for Speakers of Other Languages Program:

English classes for those whose native language is not English have been

offered at New London Adult Education since 1910, helping thousands of

adults enter the mainstream of American life.


 

Classes will be held at the Library Monday through Thursday,

Supper Book Club

Copies of the book are available at the Circulation Desk one month before
the meeting date and are due back the evening of the book discussion.

Club members pay for their meal at the book club. Participants may also bring
their own supper or snack. Water, coffee and tea are provided by the library.
The facilitator for the evening provides dessert.

Connecticut Authors Trail

Join us as local author  Richard Maule will be talking about his novel,
The Witch's Advocate. Maule tells the true story of a Quaker minister who 
stood up for civil rights of the accused witches in Salem, MA.


The C onnecticut A uthors T rail consists of a consortium of Eastern Connecticut Libraries who are constantly amazed at the variety of genres and diverse styles of writing among the authors who live in or are associated with the Nutmeg State.

During these events, local authors will showcase their books and share their stories.

Empower Together

This program presents an opportunity for participants to pursue their
desire to learn, experience stories, and share opinions and feelings.

This program features books, arts & crafts, movies and more for all adults,
but is designed for people with disabilities.  Please let us know if you are

Free 40 Minute yoga for all ages!

We recommend the following:
*Attire can be athletic or loose comfortable clothing.
*Yoga mat or thick padding for kneeling if needed.

Note: There will be an optional 10-minute meditation after practice
for anyone  interested.

Although children are encouraged to participate there will be an
optional activity table available while session occurs.
