Hello, library friends -
As you know, Governor Tony Evers has issued a
"Safer At Home" order
for all non-essential Wisconsin businesses and workers until April 24. Public libraries are specifically prohibited from offering any in-person services, so the Mercer Library will no longer be open, even to curbside service.
What does that mean for you?
If you have library materials checked out, please keep them until the safer-at-home order has been lifted. We've extended the due dates on ALL items until at least May 4. Our book drop is still open, but we ask you to use it only if absolutely necessary. Our library is always fine-free so you won't be charged late fees no matter when you are able to return your items.
There are still a number of ways your library can help you get through this month of self-isolation. Read below for more details on some of our online resources and services.
It's a difficult time for all of us. I want you to know that the entire Mercer community is on my mind, and I encourage you to reach out if there's anything I can help with by email. I'm here for any of your library-access, homework-help, tech-question, and fact-checking needs.
Take care, wash your hands, and stay home!
