Finish Strong

As we approach the end of the school year, it is important that we remain focused and on task. I know it may seem tempting to skip a homework assignment or wait until the last minute to write a paper; however, we need to push through! Below, I will provide you guys with some tips that I find useful and have helped me stay focused during this period.

1. Keep a calendar
One easy way to stay on track is to keep an updated calendar, schedule, or planner.  Your calendar can have all of your tests and paper due dates, club meetings, sports games, and extracurricular events. Always knowing when you have an assignment due or a meeting coming up, will help you with planning in advance and staying locked-in. If you prefer to use electronics, I recommend Google Calendar or the Reminders App.

2.  Communication

Another great way to make you stay on top of your work is to communicate with your teachers. Teachers are a great resource for us if we are ever confused on a particular topic, concerned with a specific grade, or need any additional help. I certainly take full advantage of office hours and find that they drastically improve my grade.

3.  Reach your Goals

My final piece of advice for finishing the year strong is to stay focused on the goals you  set at the start of the year. Try not to let them slip away! Whether your goals were to  maintain straight A's and score all 5's on your AP Exams, or reading the textbook every night and doing extra math problems, work hard and try your best to achieve them-we are approximately one month away from the finish line.

Hopefully the aforementioned tips will help you with finishing the year off strong-they certainly help me! You have all summer to do whatever you want!
