Children's Programs for October
Children who are not yet in kindergarten can sign up for our year-round  1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. This is a wonderful program to encourage young children to see reading as a positive experience.
After School Adventures
Wednesday October 10th and 24th
at 4:00pm

Children grades K through 2nd can come after school to the library for a snack and craft or activity!


Tween Thursday
Thursday October 18th
at 4:00pm

Children grades 3rd through 6th can come after school to the library for a snack and craft or activity!


Weekend Children's Programs in October
Brick Builders
Saturday, October 6th at 11:00am

Children ages 5 and up can build a creation of their own design.They can them name it and it will be put on display in the library for a month!


Make and Take
Saturday, October 13th at 11:00am

Children ages 5 and up can come make a craft to then take home!


Movie and Munchies
Saturday 20th at 11:00am

Families and children of all ages can visit the library to watch a movie rated G or PG. Children will receive a snack and juice.
Family Fun Halloween Parade!
Saturday 27th at 11:00am

Families and children of all ages can come enjoy crafts, games, and more and we will have a Halloween Parade where kids can come in costume and get candy throughout the library!
Weekly Children's Programs in October
Read, Sing, Play
Every Monday  at 10:30am
(The Library will be closed October 8th)

Children birth to 5 years old are invited to join us Monday mornings at 10:30am for story time fun. Directly following story time there will be a craft and open play. Stop in for books, songs, rhymes,  movement activities, and more! 

Bilingual Storytime
Every Tuesday at 10:30am

Children Birth to 5 can come join Ms. Margarita every Tuesday for bilingual story time. We will share stories, songs, and more in English and Spanish. Following story time there will a craft and free play. This program will be held weekly.
News Around the Library:
Shoutbomb: Now you can receive text alerts from the library! Text the word SIGNUP to 860-345-1307.  Once you receive a reply, enter your library card number and you're signed up! You can renew materials by text, receive early literacy tips, and much more. For more information, click HERE.

Mango Languages: Would you like your child to learn a new language? All you need is a library card to 
sign-up for free. Parent's can do it too!

Digital Collection: Kids can use our digital collection too! Use your library card to gain access to a wide variety of free e-books and e-audiobooks. Click HERE to view our digital collection. 

Museum Passes: Use your library card to check out a museum pass. Click  HERE for more information about which passes are available.

DVDs: Parents, you can now check out up to 5 DVDs total using your adult library card. This means 5 seven day titles or 4 seven day titles and 1 express. Remember, only an adult card can be used to check out DVDs.
