Hi Everyone.

In May, we had two great events. The first was a bowling party at Lucky Strike in Center City Philadelphia on May 4th. I'm happy to report that the food was hot, the beer was cold and nobody requested that we put the bumpers in the gutters. On May 17th, the NextGen group had an event at Constitution Yards in Wilmington where attendees heard a fascinating talk from Michael Hare of The Buccini/Pollin Group on the redevelopment of the Wilmington riverfront.

On May 16th, over 100 women (and some men!) from chapters across the country and Canada came together for the 4th Annual TMA-NOW Summit, held at the Conrad Hotel in Chicago. While the Philadelphia chapter was well-represented as always, for the first time, the TMA-NOW Summit was open to all NOW members, allowing all TMA women to take advantage of this wonderful educational and business development opportunity. With speakers on unconscious bias and a panel on rainmaking/networking, participants were engaged in interactive discussion and debate about the issues impacting women in the workplace. Attendees then had the chance to network, share ideas and business cards, against the backdrop of the Chicago skyline. Launched in 2013 by our own member, Robyn Pollack, and NY chapter member Teresa Kohl, Global TMA-NOW is the premier women's leadership development group for women in the restructuring industry. For more information about Global TMA-NOW, please contact Kris Wolcott, Director of Partnerships & Industry Relations at [email protected].

Moving forward, we're a week away from the 2017 Mid-Atlantic Regional Symposium in Atlantic City.

The Symposium Planning Committee, co-chaired by Mark Felger, expects around 300 people this year and we want you to be a part of the action. There are still limited rooms available at the newly renovated Resorts. We already have TMA members from 13 chapters registered.  As Mark so eloquently writes below, the Committee has another amazing event in store, with plenty of education, networking and fun. This is one conference you do not want to miss - so don't. There's still time to register at: Mid-Atlantic.turnaround.org.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in AC. Have a great summer and look for the coming announcements for our NextGen summer event and our charity event in September.

Please join me and your friends and colleagues at TMA as we go Back on The Boardwalk on June 7th and 8th for the 15th Annual TMA Mid-Atlantic Symposium. It is a great honor for me to co-chair the event and represent the Philadelphia TMA Chapter throughout the planning process along with committee members Jeffrey Hampton, Ed Phillips, Luis Pillich, and Rachel Mauceri.

The Symposium has a new venue this year and will take place at the newly remodeled and award winning Resorts Casino Hotel, a Mohegan Sun property. Once again, the Symposium will be packed with informative educational panels and networking opportunities. Our opening lunch will feature a keynote presentation by Geoffrey Colvin, Senior Editor-at-large, Fortune Magazine, and author of "Talent is Overrated." Scheduled panels include the always popular Judges' Roundtable, moderated by Adam Isenberg, and featuring Judge Carey from Delaware and Judge FitzSimon from the Eastern District. If you make it to breakfast on Thursday morning, you will be up to date on the latest issues affecting our economy as Dan Stella will be moderating our always popular Economists' Panel. And don't miss a plenary panel on whether retail is the new energy, and concurrent panels titled "What's Ahead for 2017", "Preparing for Life Post-Jevic" and "Creating Value Where There's No There There."

In addition, we have extracurricular activities to choose from such as a mind, body and soul event, a round of golf at the historic Atlantic City Country Club, and skeet shooting. These activities present a great opportunity to network with fellow turnaround professionals in a relaxed atmosphere.  Speaking of relaxed atmosphere, don't forget our opening cocktail party at LandShark Bar & Grill and Late Night at the VIP Lounge on Wednesday June 7th, and our Gala Cocktail Reception at Capriccio and closing party at Margaritaville on June 8th.

Once again, we are expecting over 300 attendees, mainly from our hosting TMA Chapters (New Jersey, Philadelphia and Chesapeake), as well as other chapters from around the country and the world! Registration is now open and there are still a few sponsorship opportunities available.
