Idaho Power Signs Super-Low Solar PPA to Buoy 100% Clean Energy Plans
Idaho Power announced plans to transition its generation to 100% clean energy by 2045, accompanied by a 120-megawatt solar power-purchase agreement that rivals some of the lowest prices seen in the U.S. market to date.
Biggest solar investments in Texas in places with regulated utilities
Four Texas counties are installing solar panels at higher rates than the rest of the state, reflecting subsidies and other financial sweeteners from regulated utilities outside the deregulated parts of Texas that are encouraging investments in renewable energy.
Solar energy - and solar jobs - are on the rise in Florida
Solar employment in Florida grew by 21 percent in 2018, even though nationally there was a 3.2 percent decline. Florida is now second in the United States for solar jobs after California. Total solar employment in our state grew to 10,358, according to the Solar Foundation’s Solar Jobs Census 2018.
