Dear Rising Seniors and Parents,
We are writing to clarify a couple of questions related to testing this fall and to allay any concerns you may have about the availability of testing.
As we
communicated May 27, Hotchkiss has been working with the College Board to try to offer two additional test dates for Hotchkiss students only, on campus, this fall. Offering these "closed" dates is important to protecting the health and safety of our community, and that is our top priority.
Unfortunately, while these discussions with the College Board have been taking place, the College Board
has elected to temporarily suspend registration for SAT National Test Dates on September 26 and October 3. We are aware that families have been attempting to register for these dates and have been unable to do so. We regret the inconvenience (and frustration) this is causing.
We are pleased to announce that
we will be offering School Day SAT Testing on September 23 and October 14 where all Hotchkiss students will have a spot.
You do not sign-up for these dates through the College Board site. Ms. Grusauski, testing coordinator, will be in touch with students in July with more information about signing-up, should you choose to do so. Only the SAT Reasoning is offered in School Day Testing, but remember that most schools do not require or even recommend these tests in the current climate.
Registration for the September 26 and October 3 dates may eventually become available, but in the meantime, rest easy knowing you have a spot for the September 23 and October 14 School Day SAT tests.
Sincerely,
Jared Hall
