The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) is the regulator established by the provincial government to regulate the practice of Massage Therapy and to govern the conduct of Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) through the provisions of the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991 (RHPA) and the Massage Therapy Act, 1991. CMTO is dedicated to excellence in protecting the public’s interest, guiding its registrants, and promoting the highest possible quality of the practice of Massage Therapy.

CMTO is seeking an exceptional, visionary, and innovative leader for the Registrar and CEO (Registrar/CEO). The Registrar/CEO is appointed by, reports to, and is accountable to the Council. The primary function of the College is to act in the interest of the public and to ensure the quality of Massage Therapy practice. This means monitoring and assessing compliance with the Standards of Practice and professional conduct for all Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) in Ontario. CMTO also maintains a public register of RMTs and other information about the profession to assist the public in choosing an RMT for care.

Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists

The Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) is a non-profit, self-governing, professional association of over 25,000 members.

OACETT is Ontario’s independent certifying body for engineering and applied science technicians and technologists and confers the designations C.Tech. (Certified Technician) and C.E.T. (Certified Engineering Technologist). These designations are recognized across Canada by employers and other engineering professionals. The A.Sc.T. (Applied Science Technologist) designation is no longer conferred but is still used by some OACETT members.

The Deputy Registrar is responsible for the operational management and quality control of the Institute of Engineering Technology of Ontario (IETO). There are over 25,000 members in Ontario who have achieved certification and approximately 2,000 applications are processed each year.

IETO is housed within the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT), in the Etobicoke area of the GTA.
