Shavuos 5773

Shavuos 5773 at the Kollel was truly an inspiring Yom Tov. The all-night learning was a beautiful scene with men and boys learning throughout the night. The beautiful roar of Kol Torah resounded throughout the Beis Medrash as chavrusah pairs animatedly learned together all the way 'till morning. Timely and insightful shiurim were presented by Rabbi Biberfeld, Rabbi Goldschmidt, Rabbi Prupas, Rabbi Zeffren and Rabbi Eskenazi on the lower level of the Kollel. Simultaneously, a Medical Ethics track was led by Dr. David Weiss and Dr. Danny Eisenberg in the Reb Leib and Rachel Kohn conference room. The young boy's special program, Chaburas Chacham Lev, ran throughout the night guided by several rebbeim. We thank all our sponsors for making this possible and we thank all the magiddei shiur for their efforts in being marbitz Torah.

The Neilas Hachag, with uplifting divrei Torah, singing and dancing topped off the Yom Tov in a most meaningful way.

Business Ethics # 5:  Sentimental Value
Rabbi Biberfeld leads a discussion group on interesting questions relating to business ethics and their halachic ramfications. This lively interactive class places thought provoking, professional, ethical dilemmas within the framework of halachic discussion. Feel free to come and enjoy!

Shabbos afternoon at 5:15 at the Kollel, followed by Mincha at 6:00.

Topic:    Sentimental Value

Reuven broke an old, silver Kiddush cup that Shimon owned. It was only worth $25.00 but to Shimon it was priceless because it had belonged to his great-grandfather. How much does Reuven have to pay?

Reuven mistakenly damaged an old family photo of Shimon's. Have much does Reuven have to pay?
