Status Update on Government Relief
for Small Business Owners

We want to keep you updated on what is happening in Washington, D.C., regarding the economic stimulus package related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The latest information NSGA has received is that a compromise is coming and it is likely to include some type of bridge loan program to benefit small businesses. NSGA fought for favorable language that appeared in earlier versions of the bill, including waiving SBA requirements (application fee, collateral, personal guarantees, etc...) and a loan forgiveness component that allows sports retailers and dealers a mechanism to keep their employees on the team.

NSGA will have updated information as soon as it is becomes available on all aspects of the economic stimulus package. Stay on the lookout for more communication from us on this issue. You can also go to www.nsga.org for updated information and resources related to operating your business during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thank you to everyone who reached out to their senators and representatives to push for support of NSGA's proposed relief measures for sporting goods retailers and dealers. There will be many challenges ahead and NSGA is here to help you as best we can. NSGA staff are working remotely and can be contacted at (847) 296-6742 or info@nsga.org .
