We were treated to Symphone Espagnole by Lalo, played by student Harry Lance accompanied by Julie Cheek.
The hospitality team outdid themselves with a delicious lunch.

Children's Concert chairs Beth and Paul Nyhus were pleased to fill 2,200 seats in Robinson with children, teachers and parents. In all 31different schools were represented, making for a regionally diverse audience. Two schools were recognized for sending over 300 students: EStem, whose students walked to the concert, and Sylvan Hills Elementary and Middle Schools.
When asked whether this was their first symphony concert, seven-eights of the audience raised their hands. |
BRIDGE BASH

WAR MEMORIAL AARP CHAPTER 34 BUILDING

Our third Bridge Bash was a huge success. Led by Director Dick Heil (in black above), we had 16 tables and 121 players at the morning and afternoon sessions. The Concerto Café ladies, Mary Wildgen, Gail Davis and LeeLee Doyle, recreated their famous quiche and chicken salad from Designer House for a very appreciative group of 90 players. A fun day for all involved, Bridge Bash netted the Guild $1700 and reached out to a new audience.
