On Monday, March 25th the Board of Education approved the architectural and design plans for the renovation and construction of the West Allis-West Milwaukee Recreation and Community Services Center, 2450 S. 68th St.

The new center will be home the all registration and office operations and our department's preschool program.  Additionally, the center will include an elevated indoor walking track, a gym, a dance/fitness room, large multipurpose room space, and updated restrooms.

The best part of the new center is all of this is being accomplished without raising property taxes or impacting program fees.  Plans still need to receive approval from the City of West Allis Plan Commission and City of West Allis Common Council, but we anticipate breaking ground and starting construction early to mid June.  Please continue to check your Enewsletter or follow us on Facebook for more updates and design images.  We are excited about all the opportunities the new center will present for our department and the community.
