Rabbi Mike Stern to Speak at the Kollel

Rabbi Mike Stern will be speaking at the Kollel:
Finding Light Amidst Darkness:
Lessons from the Life and Passing of
Shoshie Stern, A"H.
When: July 14th  -  Mincha at 7:30
Followed by the lecture and then Maariv.

Shoshana Stern, A'H, daughter of Rabbi Mike & Denise Stern, was tragically taken from us in April 2013 at the tender age of 12. The Sterns, have inspired many hundreds of Jews over the past 20 years through their work with Aish Philadelphia, the Milwaukee Kollel and the Levis JCC in Boca Raton. The Sterns now have created Rabbi Without Walls to reach out to unaffiliated Jews in South FL.

Throughout the entire Shiva, Shaloshim and up until today it has become apparent that "Shoshie's Life" was one of great spiritual accomplishment. Rabbi Mike will inspire and uplift us as he shares the lessons learned from Shoshie and how these insights give us a deeper understanding of the 9 days and Tisha b'Av . For more info see
Mazel Tov!

Annual Yizkereim Video to be Shown July 2nd
Each year, during the Thre Weeks, the Kollel shows a documentary from the Yizkereim Foundation. This year we will show "Monsieur" which presents the dramatic and inspirational story of Rav Yonah Tiefenbrunner, z"l, and the orphanage he established in Belgium during the Holocaust. The stories of courage, mesiras nefesh and Kiddush HaShem told by child survivors saved by R' Tiefenbrunner, "MONSIEUR", will inspire all of us to greater adherence to מצות and will help us strengthen our emunah- particularly relevant to the Three Weeks - Bein Hametzarim period. The much acclaimed documentary will be shown in community shuls around the globe.

For men and women.
We are the witnesses to the stories and memories of the last survivors of the Holocaust. It is critical that we hear their voices now, vividly connect with their individual experiences, and accept and transmit their legacy to future generations.
French School Playground

Important Message Regarding the French School Playground:

The French School kindly allows our community the use of their walkway and playground on Shabbat and Chaggim. This is a great service to many families. It has come to our attention that trash and belongings are being left behind on Shabbat. This does not show the gratitude, menschlichkeit, and Kiddush Hashem that we would want to express. If you or your children use the French School's playground or grounds, please clean up after yourselves so we do not jeopardize this arrangement.
