Virginia AmeriCorps Program Orientation and Training (July 26-30, 9am-12:30 each day) - The VSC Staff is excited to host the Program Orientation and Training to kick off the 2021-22 program year! Registration is now open and the agenda/handout will be available for download tomorrow. Make sure all staff who work with your programs are registered for applicable sessions! There is also a pre-training survey you will need to complete prior to the week. Keep an eye for the next Program Orientation and Training email out tomorrow.

2021-22 AmeriCorps Opening Day (early October) - VSC is planning two exciting days of training and celebration as you launch the new program year for your members. Stay tuned for more information!

Future Bi-Monthly Program Director Calls - VSC has tentatively scheduled out Program Director Calls for the 2021-22 program year. Please mark these in your calendar. Electronic invitations are forthcoming. Calls are 10am-11am and primarily the second Mondays bi-monthly (with the exception of a couple of months where there are conflicts). End-of-Program Year Checklist & Closeout for 2020-2021 - On June 30th, the VSC issued End of Program Year Checklist and closeout materials to programs. Completing these closeout actions will ensure that member management and program and financial management requirements of the grant award are satisfied in a timely manner. This year, please also review the COVID-19/CPC instructions and complete the checklist for return to your program officer at the time of your last member exit.

Data Collection Templates and Documents - The VSC Staff has posted new 2021-22 Data Requirements and a 2021-22 Data Collection Template on the Resource Portal of the VSC Website.

AmeriCorps Branded Signage and Materials - The VSC is ordering signage, stickers, and other identifying collateral materials with the new AmeriCorps brand for distribution to our AmerCorps State programs. We are planning for these materials to be available for pick-up at the AmeriCorps Opening Day event, October 4-5. If this event does not occur in-person, we will arrange for shipment of these materials.

9/11 Day of Service - We need to know what you are planning for 9/11 Day of Service! AmeriCorps will release social media templates, marketing messaging, and more very soon. The key focus of this year's efforts is hunger relief so food-related projects are encouraged.
