In this unprecedented time of uncertainty, we want to let you know that our hearts and thoughts are with all of you, your families, and your patrons. Be assured we are working to help our clients during this difficult time.

Instead of our regular newsletter, we are sending you links to many Help Desk posts that we hope will be helpful in mitigating the work ahead in your box office.

Wintix has many tools that you may find yourself in need of using.

If you need help with any of these - or other - box office operations, please let us know. As always, we will be there to support you.

Thank you!
cancelExchanges, postponements and cancellations

At the time we are writing this, states have different requirements on how many people are allowed at events, if events are even allowed at all. Each organization is also determining how to best serve and protect their patrons, staff, and volunteers.

If you are postponing or cancelling shows, we suggest you leave the show in Wintix. Don't archive the show. Whomever doesn't ask for a refund will still be in the show's sales records. If you reschedule it with a different date and time, the sales will be intact.

If you reschedule the same show later, just go in Shows | Utilities and change the date and time.

If you offer a different show to replace the cancelled one later, change the name, abbreviation, date and time. The old sales will be attached to the new show.
donationDONATIONS OPTIONAL

Many people are concerned about the financial consequences to their favorite businesses and arts organizations during this time. While some will need to ask for refunds, others will take comfort from giving their ticket monies as a donation to your organization.

You can also consider creating a donation campaign so your patrons can help you weather these uncertain times.
emptyPlaying to an empty house? Webcasts? Drive-in performances?

Some arts organizations are fortunate enough to have the resources to keep the entertainment going by playing to a virtual audience like the  La Fenice opera house in Venice

Plaza Theatre  in Texas is performing in a drive-in setting - the audience remains in their cars tuned to a local radio station.

A lot of shows like The Daily Show and Stephen Colbert being broadcast without an audience.

Got any creative - or crazy like a fox - ideas for coping in the short term. Email [email protected]. We hope that everyone will be smiling and sharing success stories soon!
