Reel Exposure International Teen Film and Photo Festival was a Virtual Success!
|
|
The 8th annual, and first-ever virtual, Reel Exposure International Teen Film and Photo Festival was a great success, viewed by nearly 750 people from 10 different countries.
Finalists from all over the world produced films for the festival, with pieces from Ireland, Austria, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and throughout the United States — including films and photos created by youth in Poughkeepsie.

Celebrating $1.5 Million in Scholarships
|
|
The Art Effect is proud to celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2020! Of the five students that completed the Art Institute’s rigorous Senior Project last fall, all have received
scholarship offers from colleges throughout the country, totaling
over $1.5 million in awards. They will be attending such noted institutions as Tufts University School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC).

SUMMER INTERMEDIATE ARTS PROGRAM
Ages 11-13
- VIDEO PACKAGE: Includes ten downloadable video lessons led by The Art Effect’s teaching artists. All materials will be supplied.
- VIRTUAL PROGRAM: Two-week, half-day online program, live virtual instruction
- IN-PERSON PROGRAM*: Two-week, full day, in-person program at the Poughkeepsie Trolley Barn

SUMMER ART INSTITUTE Ages 14-19
- IN-PERSON OR ZOOM-IN: At the Poughkeepsie Trolley Barn, July 6 - July 24, 9:00 am - 4:30 pm (A second session may be coming soon!)

*All in-person programs will adhere to State and County protocols to ensure a safe and fun experience for all. They are also subject to change in response to state and local guidelines.
