A Note from the Pastor
Anne Healy sent in a poem to be shared in this week's e-press. I hope you'll take a few moments to reflect upon her beautiful words.
At the end of her poem she writes, "Rebirth, regrowth, love is once again..." Where are you seeing and experiencing re-birth and re-growth? How is God doing a new thing in your life?
Peace,
Pastor Rosy

A TOPICAL LAMENT
Father God, Creator of all living things…
It was good…
What began as a tiny seed…
Was blest with nourishment…
Was encouraged by water…
Was warmed by sunlight…
Was nurtured by hope…
Was enjoyed by creatures great and small…
Gifts of your love…
Snails, worms, snakes, deer, bears, humans…
Humans who looked in awe of your majesty…
Who wandered and wondered at your beauty…
Who, in time, began to abuse this gift of yours…
Just a small bonfire to cut the chill…
Then a gust of wind…
And whosh!...behold…
Your gift of love is a barren waste…
A sight that pains the soul…
But, lo, in your mercy, Lord…
Rebirth, regrowth, love is once again …
The forest lives…
We thank you, God.
