WEEK OF APRIL 1, 2019
Why is St. Martin's calling you? For our first CARE-A-THON!

When we "traveled" through Hurricane Harvey, one of the many lessons we learned as a Parish is how important it is to be "connected" to one another - in every way.

Usually, once or twice a year, you get a call from the Church about your annual pledge to St. Martin's, but the Vestry, Clergy and I thought it time to reach out in a way that has nothing to do with financial support. Beginning in just a few weeks and lasting throughout the year, we have garnered the support of dozens of volunteers to call every member of our Parish. Why? Simply to let you know we care. We care about you, about your loved ones and we want to "connect" with you.

So when you see "St. Martin's" light up on your caller ID, may I invite you to answer the call? We are going to check on you. We are going to see if you have any need for pastoral care. We are going to ask if you have any questions about a particular program or ministry. Most importantly, we are going to inquire if there is any way we can better be "Church" to you - to one another. If we don't have answers to your questions right away, we will find them out and get back to you. While we are at it, we are going to make sure we have all of your contact information. We are calling this effort a "Care-a-thon" and while it will take many months to reach out to all of our 9,500+ members, we are up for the task and we look forward to connecting with you in this way.

Faithfully and With Care,
The Rev. Dr. Russell J. Levenson, Jr.
Rector
