Hospitality Job Fair at Marriott
Soliant continues expansion in city

Soliant, a leading provider of specialized healthcare and education staffing services to hospitals and schools around the nation, is growing in Peachtree Corners. Soliant recently expanded their Peachtree Corners headquarters at 5550 Peachtree Parkway by 25,000 square feet, bringing the total to 83,000 square feet. In 2020 the company announced the relocation of its national headquarters to a 58,000-square-foot space in Peachtree Corners. The majority of new job opportunities now open to applicants will be focused on education and healthcare recruiting. Soliant will employ more than 600 people once this expansion is complete.
Services offered to businesses through ARC's Work Force program

Did you know the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) provides a range of services for businesses? Businesses can get help with workforce training, skill development, assistance with employee recruitment and data tools.

WorkSource Atlanta Regional maintains career centers in the metro area including two in Gwinnett County. The professionals at these centers help job seekers with career assessment testing, job readiness training, etc.

WorkSource is holding a grand reopening Tuesday, June 29 from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m., at 3885 Crestwood Parkway in Duluth. It is a great chance to learn about the services offered to local businesses and job seekers.

City partners with tech and engineering companies on vehicle-detection, infrastructure sensors
Peachtree Corners, Jacobs, and Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. have announced joint efforts to deploy end-to-end smart solutions in one of the nation's first smart city environments. Powered by real-world connected vehicle technology and infrastructure, the program aims to demonstrate the continued momentum of smart cities and spaces, with Peachtree Corners serving as a model for other municipalities as they look to deploy smart solutions and programs. Trails drive economic prosperity; update

Peachtree Corners is fortunate to have the Chattahoochee River, various lakes and well established trees within its confines. These natural features attract people and businesses from near and far. The City is capitalizing on these natural gems by connecting them together via a multi-use trail system called the Corners Connector.
Hospitality Job Fair June 22

The City of Peachtree Corners is partnering with Explore Gwinnett and the Atlanta Marriott Peachtree Corners in sponsoring a job fair at the Marriott on Tuesday, June 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Area hotels and other hospitality venues have reported difficulty in attracting workers following the year-long pandemic. And more and more people are now traveling for both business and pleasure.

Complimentary digital head shots and refreshments will be available to job seekers. Human resources representatives from most of the area hotels will be accepting applications. Many will be performing interviews and hiring for hospitality positions on the spot. Hourly pay for these positions ranges from $10 to $18 an hour, depending on the hotel and type of work. The Atlanta Marriott Peachtree Corners is located at 475 Technology Parkway.
Peachtree corners company first to achieve higher recycling standard

IT Technology Services (ITAD) of Peachtree Corners has become the first company in the world to complete the industry’s newly released R2 Version 3 (R2V3) certification standard. The R2 "Responsible Recycling" standard was specifically created for the electronics recycling industry by Sustainable Electronics Recycling International (SERI). According to the governing body, the certification raises the bar for how the world handles used electronics and combats e-waste and data security. READ MORE
