April in Truro...
     This month we pick up 88 minutes of additional daylight, enough to bring temperatures up about 9 degrees from March.
     According to past records, we can expect an average temperature to 45°F, with average lows of 37°F and highs of 52°F. We traditionally get an average total of 3 inches of rain and only 1 inch of snow. It's early spring, and the above-freezing temperatures and rain will melt any snow piles and thaw the frozen ground.

Good Neighbor | Truro
The Truro community has come together to help those most at risk in Truro during the COVID-19 pandemic. Good Neighbor | Truro needs volunteers of any age who use COVID-safe practices to sign up now to make "contactless" deliveries of restaurant-prepared and -packed foods and mail to homes in Truro where residents cannot leave their homes. We plan to start on April 7. Learn more about Good Neighbor |Truro here. You can volunteer at tprta.org/good-neighbor-volunteer-form. Commission on Disabilities
Social distancing and staying at home shouldn't stop us from our plans to increase awareness of Autism. For the fifth year, we will Light It Up Blue for the month of April to show our support and to help spread the word. Blue lights stay on for the month of April. The Town of Truro has committed to convene a representative citizen committee to engage a wide range of Truro residents and develop plans for the use of the Walsh property, which was authorized to be purchased by the Town for general municipal purposes. In the event of an emergency, such as severe weather or a power outage, if a member of your household would require special assistance due to a health condition, please contact the Truro Council on Aging to be added to the Elders of Special Concern program. Participants will be contacted by the Council on Aging or the Truro Police Department to determine if they have adequate supplies in preparing for an emergency. If you live alone, are disabled, use oxygen or other special medical equipment please contact the Council on Aging at (508) 413-9508 to be added to this program. ALERTruro
