Wilton Reads 2019
The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris
Book Giveaway: Wednesday, February 27 from 10am-12pm and from 6:30-7:30pm
We welcome all community members to join Wilton Library this spring as we come together to read, discuss and reflect upon The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris for our thirteenth Wilton Reads event. Wilton Reads has, for several years, given us an opportunity through fine literature to sharpen our view of ourselves and the world around us. This year's community-wide read will bring an exploration of the Holocaust through insightful programming and a collaboration with the Wilton Public Schools.
To encourage readership and to kick off the Wilton Reads 2019 program, 200 paperback copies of The Tattooist of Auschwitz will be distributed to community members free of charge courtesy of Fairfield County Bank on a first-come, first-served basis, one per person on February 27 (times above). Be part of our journey of book discussions, a documentary film screening, a history lesson, a concert and more beginning March 5, all culminating in the author talk in-person with Heather Morris on April 11. Click here for all Wilton Reads 2019 details, helpful links and registration information.

Human Library
Saturday, March 23 from 1 to 5pm
Join us for our second "Human Library" on Saturday, March 23. Our human books are community members who have volunteered to share their stories in order to break down barriers based on age, race, sexual orientation, religion, ability, lifestyle choices, or other aspects of their identity. Help shatter stereotypes through open conversations between two people in a non-judgmental environment. This is an opportunity for those who've faced prejudice to tell their story and show people who they really are. And it's a chance for others to change their preconceived notions based on a person's appearance, lifestyle, or beliefs.
