Are you wondering how to talk to your child about sex and sexual ethics?

Join us and begin opening the lines of communication.

Tuesday, April 30 from 6:30 pm-8:30 pmMarin Waldorf School

In a time when the national conversation is frequently dominated by stories about sexual harassment and sexual assault, it's critical for parents and educators to be proactive with kids, which means starting - and revisiting - conversations about sexual ethics with both children and teens. If we are not creating the narrative, we leave open the potential for others to guide our children.

But - let's be honest - that conversation can sometimes feel awkward and uncomfortable! That's why we have invited back to campus Sexual Literacy Educator, Natasha Singh (www.sexlited.com). We will host an evening packed with information and strategies about how to talk to kids at different stages of development about sex and sexual ethics and why it's important to start sooner rather than later.

In this 2 hour workshop, you will learn:
  • The most common myths that prevent parents from talking to their kids about sex
  • Why teaching sexual ethics matters at all ages
  • What to do if your child is intentionally or unintentionally exposed to pornography
  • Strategies for talking to kids about consent, gender, and media consumption
  • Strategies for moving past your own discomfort when talking about sexual intimacy
With Natasha's help, you will realize that you are more capable of having these conversations than you think!
