We've had a very busy January in our Head of School Search. We welcomed seven semifinalists to campus. Semifinalists took student-led tours of our campus, met with the administrative leadership team and the advisory committee, and completed a two-hour interview process with the Head of School Search Committee. On Friday evening, the Search Committee met to select finalists. Due to the high caliber of the applicant pool, we unanimously selected four finalist candidates.
We are so excited for you to meet the finalists! The day before each of their visits, we will send an email including the candidate's name, a brief biography, and a link to a survey that will provide the Search Committee with your impressions of the candidate.
The surveys will close at noon the day after each visit concludes so we can get your impressions while they are fresh.

The National Association of Independent Schools recommended best practice for head of school searches is to keep the identities confidential until the finalist interviews. The independent school finalists often disclose that they are candidates in a search only to those who will be providing references. We can presume that many at their current schools are not aware that they are finalists for the Head of School position at The Colorado Springs School. Accordingly, we ask that you be sensitive to the need for confidentiality and not share emails or details about the finalists outside of our community.
Finalists will meet with students, faculty, parents, staff, administrators, alumni, and trustees, among others during their two-day interview schedule. They will also have some time to explore the larger Colorado Springs community before and after the visit.
Open forums are designed for parents, past parents, and alumni to meet with each of the candidates. Please join us for this important engagement opportunity.
