Dear Centenary Friends,
Blessed Thanksgiving to you! As I reflect on the season of Thanksgiving, I am reminded of the one of United Methodist Hymns "Count Your Blessings." I invite you to join me in meditating on the following lyrics:
"When upon life's billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Count your blessings, name them one by one;
Count your blessings, see what God hath done;"
During the Thanksgiving season, God invites us to cultivate the attitude of Thanksgiving. May these lyrics reflect our deep gratitude for all the love and blessing we have received from our loving God. Although we have experienced many challenges this year, we can count our blessings and see what God has done for us by God's grace. Today, as I think of our church and its ministry, I am thankful for you and Centenary's ministry. Your generous hearts make a real difference in our church ministry and people in our community.
