Remembrances for the Pandemic
May we who are merely inconvenienced
remember those whose lives are at stake.
May we who have no risk factors
remember those most vulnerable.
May we who have the luxury of working from home
remember those who must choose between
preserving their health or making their rent.
May we who have the flexibility to care for our children
when their schools close
remember those who have no options.
May we who have to cancel our trips
remember those that have no place to go.
May we who are losing our margin money
In the tumult of the economic market
remember those who have no margin at all.
May we who settle in for a quarantine at home
remember those who have no home.
During this time when we cannot
physically wrap our arms around each other,
let us yet find ways to be
a loving embrace to our neighbors.
prayer from the Interfaith Network Council, Cincinnati

CAREGIVERS CORNER
Caregivers Corner: 4 steps to protect those who are elderly and at risk during the novel coronavirus outbreak
Older adults are more vulnerable to novel coronavirus (COVID-19) due to compromised immune systems and underlying health conditions. Seniors, loved ones, caregivers, and the community at large play a vital part in preventing the spread of disease and protecting seniors from coronavirus.
Here are some tips on how to support seniors during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Take a stand for our community to protect those who are most at risk
- Slow the Spread and Stay Home
- High-Risk Population
- People aged 60+
- People with chronic conditions like heart disease, diabetes, lung disease
- Take Care of Yourself and Your Family
- If sick, isolate and call a medical professional
If you are caregiving for a loved one and would like to get connected with others in our community who are walking the same path join ABC11's Caregivers Corner moderated by Nicole Clagett. The group has 1000+ people supporting one another and sharing wonderful information and resources daily.

Cherie Hylton, our new RN Program NA1 Coordinator, has just graduated an excited group of new NA1s who are ready to work and support our senior community!
Congratulations to the first Class of 2020!
This pilot class of 8 adult students graduated March 19. The last day of clinical practice at Springmoor Health Center had to be relocated to our lab due to COVID-19 restrictions. It was touch and go if they would even let us finish-but we did!!
All students are ready to take their North Carolina State Certification Exam but are awaiting lifting of "on hold " status. A practice day will be offered to rehearse their skills.
Six have been offered positions with Transitions LifeCare and two graduates already work for HomeWatch CareGivers!
