Quarterly Guides Are Back!

With the return to more predictable schedules, our quarterly activities and festivities guides are back. We have everything you need for fall entertainment this August through October in our latest guide. Take an excursion with the Aurora Center for Active Adults crew, or stay in for more interactive virtual cooking classes. Get back in your routine with drop-in and specialty fitness classes, morning or evening nature hikes and countless other exercise opportunities!

Here's a glimpse of what this guide has in store: Mardi Gras Casino Excursion in Blackhawk, Aqua Cardio Splash, Special Olympics Flag Football, Fancy Fall Creations, Spooktacular Snacks, Xtreme Hip Hop Fitness, Crawdad Crawl, a Parents Night Out and more.

Summer Sun Food and Fun Program

The city offers free summer meals Monday through Friday to youth 18 years old and younger. Stop by for fresh and tasty food for your little ones.

Carnival on the Plaza

Squeeze in one last summer bash before the school year begins! Carnival on the Plaza, one of the newer events to the city, will bring all sorts of carnival games, treats and activities to Fletcher Plaza, 9800 E. Colfax Ave. on Wednesday Aug. 4 from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

Snake Facts!

City Naturalist Kristen is an animal expert and this week it's all about snakes.

Aurora is home to a variety of snake species, including the Bullsnake and the Prairie Rattlesnake, among others.
