April 10, 2020

Beach Cities Health District (BCHD) is taking a preventive approach in line with recommendations from public health officials to slow the spread of the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

To protect the health and well-being of our community, we temporarily closed the Center for Health & Fitness and AdventurePlex on March 14. We also  postponed or cancelled events, volunteer trainings, classes and workshops, and BCHD public meetings until the end of April.

With the extension of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health’s Safer at Home order until May 15, we’ve extended the temporary closure of the Center for Health & Fitness and AdventurePlex through May 15, 2020. As a result, many BCHD classes, programs and services have gone virtual. For more information, visit www.bchd.org .

Specific member information for the Center for Health & Fitness and AdventurePlex will be communicated with members next week.

We thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate this unprecedented time together as a community. We will continue to monitor the situation and reassess as needed . Updates to our website and social media channels will be made frequently.
