Happy Thanksgiving, Alumni! 

We are thankful for our wonderful community of graduates. Best wishes for a great holiday spent with family and friends.

You are cordially invited to attend the semi-annual Student Teacher Reception scheduled for Monday, December 15, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on our Northeast campus.  

 

This event honors our students and their cooperating teachers, university supervisors and building principals for successfully completing student teaching and to celebrate their attainment in fellowship. The reception will begin with hors d'oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages in the Education Technology Center lobby at 5:00 and will conclude with a short program beginning at 6:15 in the adjacent auditorium. Your attendance would be greatly appreciated by the students and the School of Education faculty, and would afford you the opportunity to reconnect with faculty and friends. And, importantly, your conversations with our teacher candidates will inspire and encourage them as they prepare to leave us and begin their own professional journeys.  We encourage you to attend; we would love to see you

During Family Weekend Mass, campus minister Father Mac challenged our alumni to connect with other alums, wherever you are in the world, to celebrate the Christmas Rose. This year's Christmas Rose is being held on Friday, December 5th at  Holy Family and we encourage you to plan a small gathering with fellow alumni on or around that date. 

Suggestions for your celebration: 

- have dinner together

- meet for a coffee

- see a show

- do a service project

- attend Mass

- Skype/Google chat with friends who are far away

There are endless ways to remember the story of the Christmas Rose and we hope you'll continue this tradition annually in your own way.

Did you know the Class of 1964 has been gathering for their own Christmas Rose dinner since their graduation? These women have been celebrating together on the first Saturday of December for over 50 years!

Holy Family University is Launching an Alumni Directory Project.

 

Part of the mission of the Alumni Association of Holy Family is to keep our alumni connected to the school and to each other. To help achieve that goal, Holy Family has contracted Publishing Concepts, Inc. (PCI) to begin a project to update contact information for all alumni and publish an alumni directory.

 

Beginning in late November, you will receive e-mails, postcards, and phone calls from PCI requesting that you update your contact information. Know that by updating with PCI for the directory you will be helping Holy Family University establish benchmarks for our career center office, applying for government grants, and determining our ranking in national evaluations.

Are you interested in volunteering with Holy Family? We have two opportunities for alumni to get involved.

Join the Alumni Board! If you're interested in serving on the Alumni Association Board, please contact us at [email protected]. The Board meets 4-5 times per year and develops events, volunteer opportunities and fundraising ideas in conjunction with the Alumni Office. 

Become an Alumni Admissions Ambassador! Are you interested in sharing your experiences as a Holy Family student and working with the Admissions Office to recruit new students? Contact Tim at [email protected] for more information. 

Holy Family University is offering continuing education workshops for licensed professionals and other community mental health and social service providers during the 2014-2015 school year. These eight (8) workshops provide NBCC-approved Continuing Education Units (CEU) for licensed professionals and other community mental health and social service providers in fulfillment of licensure renewal requirements, employer requirements, or professional development goals.

Are you planning to make a donation for Giving Tuesday? We hope you'll consider making a contribution to Holy Family during this event.
