The Stations of the Cross have been used as a tool of church communities for centuries as a way to direct our thoughts and prayers toward the remembrance of Jesus on the cross during Easter week.
Make sure to LIKE our FACEBOOK page AND set it to RECEIVE NOTIFICATIONS.
EVERY HOUR at the top of the hour from 7AM to 7PM
we will be releasing a new picture, meditation and prayer guiding you through the Stations. Take a few moments each hour to pray, or wait until evening and go through them
all at your own pace.
PRAY. You can pray anything publicly by leaving a comment on any of the stations.
We know this is going to be the most unusual EASTER week of our lives, but we hope this tool will be a meaningful way us to experience the grace of God's kindness in giving his life for us.
PASSOVER SEDER (2 OPTIONS):
Last night (Wednesday) at sundown was the traditional Jewish time to celebrate the Passover meal. The Passover meal was established to remember God's deliverance of the Jewish people from Egypt. And Jesus later used the occasion of that meal to institute his Last Supper.
As this meal happens during Easter week, it's another great way to reflect on Jesus as our Savior. And this year, we have a couple of really great STAY HOME OPTIONS to experience this meal:
OPTION #1:
Pathways own,
IVAN HYDE, will be leading a
ZOOM-LED ONLINE PASSOVER celebration
THIS MONDAY (April 13th) at 5:30pm. Ivan has excellent knowledge of the Passover Seder from a Jewish perspective and this will be a very personal and engaging presentation.
Ivan has put together several DOCUMENTS for this time together.
One of them gives some background to the meal that will be helpful to read before hand: HERE.
Another document gives some of the items you might want to get from the store and have on hand for the meal: HERE.
The final document gives the liturgy for our time together: HERE
To JOIN this Passover meal, just open ZOOM on Monday at 5:30pm and search for ID:
943-680-7903. Zoom will prompt you for a PASSWORD: 1978.
OPTION #2:
Tonight, another friend of ours from Australia is LIVESTREAMING a Messianic Passover Seder at
6:30pm. His website has a bunch of really good information and this is a really incredible opportunity to learn a lot about the connection between Jesus and the Passover Meal.
