While raising important funds for Food Banks BC , the #MiningFeedsBC Challenge aims to educate individuals, in a lighthearted way, about a topic that is rarely discussed but very important – food in exploration and mining! EMPR Mobile Equipment Audit Survey

The Mine Audits and Effectiveness Unit (Audit Unit) in the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources (EMPR) is conducting a voluntary, anonymous survey to AME members to support their audit of operator safety in mobile equipment. The survey can be accessed here and will be available until  11:59 PM PST on  June 26, 2020.
We encourage you to complete the survey. Feedback will inform the Audit Unit’s public conclusions and recommendations following this audit, which may include recommendations to change or clarify existing EMPR requirements. For more information,visit the Audit Unit’s  webpage .

Britannia Mine Museum Re-Opening
The Britannia Mine Museum announced that they fully re-opened to the general public from  June 1, 2020 . All exhibits are running, including Copper Quest and our multi-sensory, live-action show, in the iconic Mill#3 building, BOOM! With enhanced sanitization protocols and a limit on tour numbers to accommodate social distancing and capacity requirements. A dvanced ticketing and reservations encouraged. Read more .
Postponed to 2021: Fraser River Gold Panning Championship
Due to circumstances around the COVID-19 pandemic, the Fraser River Gold Championships will be postponed to 2021. We will provide more details as and when they become available.
