Join us for worship this Sunday, June 14 at 10:25 am on Facebook Live. You do not have to have an account to join us. The video will go live on the church's public Facebook group. If you do not have a Facebook account, a message will pop up asking if you wish to join. You may click, "not now" at the bottom of that message and it will go away. You may then enjoy the video as it plays live. Last week's service is available at the link below.
In light of recent events, last Thursday a special Service of Wholeness and Healing was held for our nation and all who live with injustice, racial prejudice and oppression. It consists of scripture readings, music and prayer. The service may be viewed here . May God's Spirit rest upon us as we discern how to faithfully participate in Christ's ministry of compassion and reconciliation in this difficult season
Sanctuary flowers  will not be used during online worship services except for special Sundays such as Pentecost. We regret that we will not be able to honor or memorialize your loved ones with flowers during this difficult time, but we hope you will choose another date once we are able to resume in-person worship. This decision was made to limit the number of people who are in and out of the church and because the flowers will be such a welcome part of worship once we are together again.
Reminder: Elders please remember the Session meeting at 1:00 pm this Sunday, June 14 via Zoom.
Our new pastor has arrived! Barrett will begin moving into the office next week and will preach his first sermon on Sunday, June 21 on Facebook Live at 10:30 am. We will be looking for ways to help you get to know him but until further notice the church office is still not open. Please be patient with us. The Session will be making some decisions about reopening on Sunday at their monthly meeting.
The Adult Faith Formation Ministry Team invites anyone interested to participate in a new book club focused on the crucial conversation of systematic racism and how we might faithfully respond. The book is Ibram Kendi's memoir, "How to Be an Antiracist" and should arrive early next week. Classes will be held online via Zoom on Sunday afternoons starting June 21st at 4:00 pm. Discussion will be led by Michael Fagans, Matthew Hall, and David Randolph. Please contact David Randolph to sign up or if you have any questions.
The Adult Faith Formation and the Worship Ministry Teams have teamed up to offer two weekly devotions throughout the summer. Devotions are written by members of our church family and emailed on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our prayer is that they will bring you hope and inspiration as we face the challenges of these uncertain times.

Bibles & Brews continues digitally each Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:00 pm via Zoom! All you need is an electronic device, a Bible and a scripture passage to share about the group picked topic. Next week's conversation is about "Promises". Contact David Randolph if interested, and as always, all are welcome!
Theological Thursdays continues TODAY from Noon to 1:00 pm via Zoom! All are welcome to join this congregational Bible study about topics you get to pick! Each week focuses on a single topic and corresponding scripture passage. Today's class is about "Divine Love" and the scripture passage is 1st John 4:7- 5:8. Please contact David Randolph if interested in participating in this or another class.
As our church family continues ministering during this season of social isolation, please continue to remember your faithful giving to our church. The ministry of FPC continues to make an impact within our congregation and throughout our community. Bible studies and various small group meetings continue online to enrich our lives through the sharing of scripture; local missional activities continue to care for others like More Than A Meal and Love Packs; partners in mission, like Interfaith Compassion, the pantry, Doors of Hope and more, continue their important work as well and we help make that possible.

There are a variety of ways you can give:

If you need help with any specific ways to give, please contact Frances Saralvarez at fsaralvarezfpc@gmail.com .
The Pantry has a new PayPal link to allow you to make donations more efficiently in this season of social distancing. As you can imagine the longer this situation lasts, the greater the need at the Pantry. Make your donation at:  http://paypal.me/pantryoxfordms
The FPC prayer chain is ready  if you or someone you know is in need.
