We are beginning a

Below is a link introducing the new series which encourages us all to explore ways to become closer to God.

In-Person or Live Stream Worship

This Sunday we begin a four-week series about journeying – about traveling as a spiritual act.

We begin with the story of Exodus, how God led the people from a home of oppression to freedom.

Can we embrace leaving home as a quest for deeper meaning?

We will be accompanied on this journey by Rick Steves, a popular travel guide, who is himself a Christian, a person of deep faith, who says, “The Road is our Church . . .”   Join us, as we go deeper, and explore the blessings of leaving home.

Take a minute to prepare your heart for Worship by listening to Rick Steves talks about how traveling brings him closer to God.
Rick Steves is a popular public television host, a best-selling guidebook author, and an outspoken activist who encourages Americans to broaden their perspectives through travel. He is the founder and owner of Rick Steves' Europe, a travel business with a tour program that brings more than 30,000 people to Europe annually. Rick lives and works in his hometown of Edmonds, Washington, where his office window overlooks his old junior high school.

SunCoast MCC Tree of Life Memorial
Remembering those on the
Tree of Life
Beginning August 1st, we will be starting a new tradition at SunCoast MCC.

Each month, we are asking people to place a white ribbon on the leaf of your loved one or friend honoring a birthday, anniversary or an anniversary of a loved one's passing. The ribbons will be provided and located at the Welcome Desk.

At the end of each month, we will remove the ribbons and ask people to do the same for the next month.
Honoring Our Loved Ones and Friends
If you are interested in placing a leaf on the tree in memory of a loved one, you can print and return the completed form below to the Church office or call the Church for additional information.

School Supply Drive
We are partnering with a local Title 1 Elementary School to provide school supplies for the '21-22 school year. Title 1 schools are so named because a majority of their families are at or below the poverty level. These kids need our help to ensure they have a bright future and are prepared to take on the world.

We will be collecting supplies until August 3rd and will deliver the items prior to the first day of school. Please bring your donations and drop them off in the bin in the lobby area.

Thank you for all you do to support the community!
Re-Open Team Updated Protocols for Worship
With the rise of COVID cases and changes in CDC guidelines, the Reopen Team modified our protocols for Worship beginning this Sunday, August 1st.

  • Please wear a mask as you enter and exit the building.

  • At your seat, you may remove your mask, but if it is possible, we recommend that you leave it on for the duration of the Service.

  • We will resume greeting each other from a distance for now with no handshakes, hugs, fist pumps or elbow bumps.

  • Our Emerge Team will continue to offer to escort you to a seat, and if you prefer to maintain social distance, they will assist you.

  • There will be limited congregational singing.

  • We ask you to continue to avoid congregating around the sound booth and congested areas.

  • And, of course, if you are sick or feel symptoms of COVID, please stay home and enjoy the service online or on YouTube.

We hope that these revisions will be temporary and that we will be able to lessen the restrictions soon. Thank you all for your patience and cooperation.
SunCoast MCC Family Travel Photos Needed!
Travel Photos Still Needed!

We are asking that our SunCoast family and friends share their travel pictures (past or present) with us. Send us photos of your staycations or long distant adventures so we can collect some of your memories.

Please send your pictures along with a brief description about the adventure to the email below.
