OCCDL DIVERSITY STORIES
Continuing OCCDL Diversity Stories!

Several member firms and organizations within OCCDL put together short and valuable videos containing a few of their perspectives, experiences, plans, and ideas related to diversity, both in the legal community as a whole, and in Orange County specifically. This content highlights our member organizations, and can serve as a tool for other legal organizations to shape their own diversity ideals and initiatives!

Please enjoy our seventh OCCDL Diversity Story, courtesy of member firm Haynes and Boone LLP, featuring OC Partner and Attorney D&I Committee Co-Chair Tom Chen, Director of D&I, Jennifer Reddien, and OC Associate Andrea Levenson. At Haynes and Boone, diversity is not just programs and statistics, it is an important and integral part of its culture. In order to be responsive to clients’ needs, Haynes and Boone believes that its lawyers must reflect the diversity of its clients’ businesses as well as the communities in which they live and serve. Haynes and Boone’s diversity and inclusion efforts encompass a strategic action plan, a set of guiding values related to diversity, and a commitment to a broad spectrum of community outreach. Furthermore, many Haynes and Boone lawyers play an active role in numerous leading legal diversity organizations outside of the firm (such as OCCDL!). Haynes and Boone has achieved numerous awards for D&I, including achieving Diversity Lab’s Mansfield Rule 3.0 certification.
